Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated and addressed the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025 in Greater Noida

GREATER NOIDA.  The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS 2025) is now officially underway, having been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi this morning at the India Expo Mart. The event, launched on September 25,  will run until September 29, transforming Greater Noida into a bustling global marketplace.

As projected, this third edition of the show is showcasing the scale and ambition of Uttar Pradesh, hosting over 2,500 exhibitors and welcoming 500 foreign buyers. Early estimates suggest the five-day event is on track to attract more than half a million visitors, cementing its status as a premier international trade platform.

Following the inaugural ceremony, State Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ highlighted the event’s significance. “Since its inception, this trade show has provided a powerful platform for our talented artisans, ODOP participants, and entrepreneurs,” he stated. “The fact that exhibitors in previous editions secured business orders for up to three years is proof that UP is firmly on the path to becoming a one-trillion-dollar economy.”

The mood on the opening day was one of energized optimism. Cabinet Minister for MSMEs, Rakesh Sachan, emphasized the focus on small businesses, noting that 2,200 stalls are dedicated to MSMEs. “With Uttar Pradesh being home to 96 lakh MSMEs, they are the backbone of our economy. This year, we are thrilled to have representatives from over 80 countries, with Russia participating as a partner country,” Sachan added.

A notable feature of this year’s expo is the inaugural participation of the Social Welfare Department. Minister Asim Arun explained that their stall showcases inclusive development, featuring products from SC/ST entrepreneurs supported by the department and highlighting the achievements of students from departmental schools.

Logistics and Security for Attendees
Attendees and residents are advised to note the traffic advisory issued by the Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police. The entry of goods vehicles on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and nearby roads is restricted until September 29. Additionally, a strict ban on drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles is in effect around the venue for security reasons.

With the exhibition halls now open, the focus shifts to the business connections being forged on the floor. Truly, UPITS 2025 lives up to its promise of displaying “the skills and entrepreneurship of people from across Uttar Pradesh” to the world.
