Naidu Introduces Alliance Air’s ‘Fare Se Fursat’ Scheme

New Delhi, October 13, 2025 – ‘Fare Se Fursat’, a first-of-its-kind initiative by government-owned Alliance Air that introduces a single, fixed airfare—unchanged regardless of when passengers book their tickets, even on the day of departure was launched by Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu.
The ‘Fare Se Fursat’ scheme aims to free passengers from the anxiety of fluctuating airfares and make flying more predictable and affordable. It will be implemented on a pilot basis from October 13 to December 31, 2025, across select routes to assess feasibility and passenger response.
Freedom from Fluctuating Fares
At the launch event in New Delhi, attended by Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha, Alliance Air Chairman Amit Kumar, and CEO Rajarshi Sen, Naidu said the initiative perfectly complements the UDAN scheme’s vision of making air travel accessible to every Indian.
He said ‘Fare Se Fursat’ reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of democratizing aviation, especially for the middle, lower-middle and neo-middle classes. The static pricing model, he noted, brings certainty and transparency to air travel and eliminates last-minute fare shocks.
Passenger-Centric Reforms
Naidu said his ministry’s broader goal is to make aviation more people-oriented. Highlighting steps like Udan Yatri Cafés, which serve tea for ₹10, coffee for ₹20 and snacks for ₹20 at airports, he said these measures promote dignity and affordability in air travel. “Now, we are addressing one of the biggest concerns of passengers — unpredictable fares,” he said.
Alliance Air: Backbone of Regional Connectivity
Calling Alliance Air the backbone of the government’s Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAN), Naidu praised the airline for linking Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to the national aviation network. “With Fare Se Fursat, Alliance Air has taken a bold and exemplary step under the idea of One Route, One Fare, reflecting the spirit of Naye Bharat Ki Udaan,” he remarked.
A Transparent Alternative
India’s aviation market largely follows dynamic pricing, where fares vary based on demand, seasonality and timing. While profitable for airlines, it often frustrates passengers with last-minute price spikes. The Fare Se Fursat scheme aims to provide a stable, transparent alternative, encouraging first-time flyers from smaller towns and advancing the government’s goal of making air travel available, accessible, and affordable for all.
