New Delhi: Festival season launch inflows surge as real estate developers expanded new residential project launches by 18 per cent during the third quarter (July–September) of 2026.
According to industry data released by real estate consultancy ANAROCK Group, developers introduced approximately 1.14 lakh new housing units across India’s top seven primary metropolitan cities in Q3 2026. Despite the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) hiking the benchmark repo rate by 25 basis points to 5.50 per cent, real estate developers accelerated project rollouts nationwide. Consequently, robust consumer appetite for homeownership continues to overshadow rising mortgage borrowing costs ahead of the Diwali festive period.

Stabilising Sales Figures Reflect Cyclical Market Resilience
Significantly, housing sales across the top seven cities reached approximately 1.00 to 1.02 lakh units during the quarter, generating total sales value of roughly ₹1.55 lakh crore.
While overall quarterly sales volumes remained broadly flat compared to last year’s historic high, property analysts emphasize that the residential market is stabilising rather than contracting. Furthermore, developer confidence remains exceptionally high, as evidenced by the 18 per cent uptick in new inventory additions.
