Madhya Pradesh secures ₹15,606 crore investment proposals from Punjab industrialists

Madhya Pradesh has attracted investment proposals worth ₹15,606 crore during an interactive session held in Ludhiana on Monday, where Chief Minister Mohan Yadav engaged with industrialists from Punjab.

Speaking to the media, Yadav said the Madhya Pradesh government offers a host of incentives to investors and is actively promoting the state as an ideal destination for industrial expansion. The event was organised as part of a roadshow aimed at drawing investments from Punjab’s thriving industrial sector.

More than 400 business delegates participated in the session, with the Chief Minister conducting one-on-one meetings with over 15 industrialists. He outlined Madhya Pradesh’s business-friendly environment, favourable industrial policies, and robust infrastructure support.

Highlighting the investment proposals, Yadav said that 15 prominent companies from Punjab have pledged a combined investment of ₹15,606 crore in the state. Among these, Trident Group proposed ₹5,000 crore, Ralson Tyres ₹2,000 crore, Vardhman Industries ₹1,581 crore, AB Cotspin Group ₹1,300 crore, Nahar Group ₹1,100 crore, and Deepak Fasteners ₹1,000 crore.

“These investments are expected to generate over 20,000 new employment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh,” the Chief Minister noted.

The session also saw participation from industrialists representing sectors such as textiles, readymade garments, bicycles, sports equipment, engineering, auto parts, and machine tools.

Inviting investors to explore Madhya Pradesh, Yadav assured them of adequate water supply, surplus electricity, a land bank of over one lakh acres, and a strong road network.

When asked whether industries would need to shift from Punjab to invest in MP, Yadav clarified that businesses wouldn’t have to leave Punjab but could expand their operations into Madhya Pradesh to leverage its advantages.

He credited the rapid economic development in the state to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that India as a whole is progressing swiftly under his guidance.
