TRIFED joins hands with IFFDC for livelihood generation of tribal communities

TRIFED, the nodal agency with its focussed efforts towards improving lives and livelihoods of tribal people, keeps forming partnerships with similar organisations. Moving ahead with the aim of tribal livelihood generation TRIFED has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Farm Forestry Development Co-operative Limited (IFFDC).
The MoU was signed by Pravir Krishna, MD, TRIFED and S. P. Singh, MD, IIFDC in the presence of Aupam Trivedi, ED, TRIFED, Sangeeta Mahendra, ED (I/C), TRIFED and Harish Chandra, Gena, Chief Project Manager, IFFDC.
As per the MoU, both the organisations have partnered for organising training programmes for tribal artisans and further they will also collaborate for implementing CSR initiatives along with tribal development efforts. IFFDC will also provide trainings to the community organisations and the members promoted by TRIFED.
Krishna said, β€œBy pooling our strengths together, we can collaborate to undertake works to help boost the livelihoods and income of the tribal people.” A complete transformation of tribal lives and livelihoods is the aim of TRIFED.
According to the agreement, any other activity shall also be taken up for strengthening entrepreneurship development and tribal livelihoods. TRIFED aims towards complete transformation of lives and livelihoods of the tribal people.
