Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Shekhar, invited global investors to co-author the story of India’s rise.
Speaking at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam, he emphasized that India’s transformation stems from a “Mindset Metamorphosis”—a fundamental shift in thinking that drives growth and innovation.
The event was graced by the Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan. Dr. Chandra Shekhar said that India’s progress is powered by policy clarity, decisive execution, and entrepreneurial energy under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He highlighted a USD 25 billion opportunity in telecom component manufacturing and assured investors that the Ministry of Communications will fast-track approvals and enable smooth investment facilitation.
The Minister urged industries to invest in India’s rapidly expanding market, driven by the world’s largest rising middle class. He said, “India is not just riding the tide; India is the tide.” Dr. Chandra Shekhar underlined that India has evolved from a license-raj mindset to a trust-first approach, where entrepreneurs are celebrated as nation-builders.
He pointed to key reforms such as the USD 1.4 trillion infrastructure investment plan, USD 26 billion PLI schemes, simplified labour laws, abolition of retrospective taxation, GST-based market integration, and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC). These initiatives, he noted, have transformed India into a trusted global manufacturing and innovation hub.
Showcasing Andhra Pradesh as India’s next big investment destination, Dr. Chandra Shekhar praised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for building robust industrial ecosystems.
He highlighted Visakhapatnam’s rise as a fintech and industrial hub, Anantapur’s role in automobile manufacturing, and Tirupati’s growth in electronics.
He also cited Genome Valley and the state’s renewable energy capacity as major strengths for future investors. With six major ports, vast industrial land banks, and proactive governance, Andhra Pradesh is ready to lead India’s next industrial growth phase.
He also acknowledged the efforts of young leaders like Nara Lokesh and TG Bharath, who are driving innovation and speed in project execution. Dr. Chandra Shekhar concluded by affirming that India’s mindset metamorphosis will shape the next decade of global growth, making the nation the preferred destination for investors worldwide.
