Brookfield REIT aims to raise $600 million through IPO in India
Just after the listing of Embassy Office Parks and Mindspace REITs, the Canadian asset manager Brookfield is also getting ready for the listing of its REIT in India. Currently, it’s filing the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) to initiate the process.
Brookfield is expected to raise up to USD 600 million (around Rs 4,440 crore) through IPO for its REIT. The Brookfield REIT is expected to be listed by the year-end or early January next year. The total assets held by this REIT in India t is over 14 million square feet. Out of this, 10 million sq.ft. is completed. It has invested in various cities including Noida and Gurugram in NCR, besides Kolkata and Mumbai.
