Rs 11,000 crore worth boost for electrification in Bihar Power Minister

Union Power Ministry has in the last 3-4 years invested over Rs 11,000 crore in various initiatives connected with electrification in Bihar, informed Power Minister R. K Singh while inaugurating NTPC’s community-focused initiatives in the state. These included two community buildings in Barh district of Patna at Sahari and Shanaura. Inauguration of Meh-Indrapuri Barrage Road in Nabinagar at Aurangabad and Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam Limited’s main gate were also part of the schedule. He added that all these infrastructure development initiatives are aimed at making local people’s lives convenient.
The two community buildings worth Rs 62 lakh will support 13,500 adjoining villagers. Also present at the occasion was Aurangabad MP, Sushil Kumar Singh who said that he was proud to learn that Bihar will soon generate 10,000 MW of electricity.  Barh MP, Gyanendra Kumar Singh said that the NTPC’s endeavours will contribute to the development of the area.
