BRO provides technological push to Special Campaign 2.0

Showcasing its commitment towards using Shredded Plastic in Road Construction Border Road Organization (BRO) has taken the cleanliness drive, “Special Campaign 2.0” on next level. BRO has already carried out trials to use this new technology that uses shredded plastic in bituminous road construction. BRO has already carried out trials of this technology in India and Bhutan.

Under Project Dantak in Bhutan BRO has used the technology in resurfacing of 4.5 Km on Phuentsholing-Thimphu Road apart from resurfacing of 2.5 Km on Balipara-Charduar-Tawang road under Project Vartak while it used this technology in resurfacing of 1.0 Km on Roing-Koronu-Paya road under Project Udayak in Arunachal Pradesh.

Moreover, the new technology has been used by the BRO in Project Pushpak in Mizoram. Under this project it resurfaced 5.22 Km on Hnathial-Sangau-Saiha Road. The resurfacing of 2.0 Km Hapoli-Sarli-Huri Road by BRO under Project Arunank in Arunachal Pradesh was also done by using the new technology.
