Construction workers of Central Vista project felicitated
A skilling project launched by Housing and Urban Affairs, called the National Initiative for Promoting Upskilling of Nirman Workers (NIPUN), has successfully progressed. For this NAREDCO organized training programs for the construction workers engaged in common central secretariat building project 1,2 and 3 of the of the central vista project. It’s being developed by L&T.
Meanwhile, a felicitation ceremony was organised in which the workmen at this project were given their certificates along with insurance coverage of INR 2 lakh.
NAREDCO and L&T-B&FIC division collaborated to execute the NIPUN project. The collaboration is aimed at bridging skill gaps among construction workers and improving the workmanship of the workers, including women workers. Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Rahul Kapoor was the chief guest on the occasion. He said, the recipient of certificates must feel proud for securing a certificate of NIPUN.
Dr. Ananta Singh Raghuvanshi, President, NAREDCO MAHI, said, “The certificates and incentives under the NIPUN scheme are well-deserved.” She added that it will make the construciotn workers better equipped.
