FM Nirmala Sitharaman unveils Central Scrutiny Centre and Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority’s Mobile App

In a virtually organized event the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman launched Central Scrutiny Centre(CSC)  and Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority’s (IEPFA) Mobile App with aim to strengthen the Prime Minister’s Digitally empowered India vision. The event was attended by  senior officials as well as Secretary of MCA, Rajesh Verma.

Launching the initiatives Sitharaman said the Government of India has launched Digital India campaign to ensure that the services of the Government be digitally empowered and available to the citizens . She informed that the Minister of Corporate affairs has been  engaged in the ongoing digital journey .

Digital India Mobile App has been developed for both citizen engagement as well as dissemination of information to spread awareness among the investors. The Authority also aims to achieve financial literacy through this app which spread awareness and educate the investors in line with its goal of promoting Ease of Living.

The IEPFA Mobile App will also have the facility to track the progress and status of IEPF claim refund process. The App also provides a unique mechanism for the investors as well as the common citizens for them to report on any suspected fraudulent schemes. The App is available on the devises based on Android and it can be downloaded from PlayStore.
