NAREDCO joins hands with WAI to eliminate difficulties in the way of warehouse construction

With an aim to address the difficulties related to construction and land that the developers of warehousing confront, the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) has signed an MoU with Warehousing Association of India (WAI).

NAREDCO— the apex real estate body under the aegis of Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs— together with WAI will also create guidelines for efficient, ethical and effective logistics, besides warehousing and other outreach activities to promote sustainability awareness.

WAI includes the developers and the operators of warehouses apart from other stakeholders. The MoU is also intended to make efforts towards resolving issues and obstacles in connection with permits, approvals, regulators and licenses. Together they will also create guidelines for fair business practices.

Rajan N Bandelkar, President, NAREDCO said, “With the signing of this MoU we have paved the way for deep partnership and collaboration to solve the problems of construction and land-related difficulties that warehousing developers confront. The members of NAREDCO and WAI will contribute toward standardisation of the infrastructure and dissemination of knowledge to bring value and learnings to the industry.”

Honorary Secretary of WAI, Sunil Tyagi, said “We aim to work with various organisations to achieve the goals we have set up for WAI.”
