National Highway construction on fast track mode with record 534 km construction in one week

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has constructed 8169 Km from April last year to 15^th January 2021 with a speed of over 28.16 km per day. In the last fiscal it had constructed 7573 Km roads. Even the ministry has created a record by constructing 534 km of national highway last week between 8^th January to 15^th January.

The Ministry has targeted to complete more than 10000 Km of highway by the end of March. Between April 2020 and 15 January 2021, the ministry has awarded 7597 km highway projects while in 2019-20, the ministry had awarded 3,474 km of projects during the same period. Thus, the total awarded projects has also doubled in this fiscal.
