NHAI to introduce advanced route patrolling vehicles for improved highway safety

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to introduce advanced ‘Rajmarg Saathi’ route patrolling vehicles (RPVs) to enhance safety on highways. According to an official statement, these new RPVs will be equipped with cutting-edge features, including ‘AI video analytics’ to capture and identify road issues such as cracks, potholes, and other infrastructure elements.

The vehicles will also monitor and respond to emergency situations, ensuring faster response times and a safer driving environment for commuters.
