Nitin Gadkari inaugurates 12 National Highway projects in Kerala, totaling 105 km and worth over ₹1464 crore

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, marked a significant addition to Kerala’s modern road infrastructure by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for 12 National Highway projects.

These projects cover a total length of 105 km and are valued at over ₹1464 Crore. The ceremony took place in Kasargod, Kerala, in the presence of Union MoS V. Muraleedharan, Kerala PWD Minister P. A. Mohammed Riyas, MP from Kasargod Rajmohan Unnithan, MLAs, and Senior Officials.

The projects aim to enhance connectivity between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, ensuring smoother transportation and reduced overall costs. Additionally, efforts to eliminate black spots on National Highways are expected to significantly reduce road accidents.

This initiative is set to create numerous employment opportunities, directly and indirectly contributing to Kerala’s socio-economic growth. Furthermore, improved accessibility to Munnar is anticipated to boost tourism, while the construction of a high-level bridge will streamline travel and benefit the export of key Kerala products.
