GoI allows graded relaxation in travel to OCI and PIO card holders

The Government of India (GoI) has now permitted all OCI and PIO cardholders to visit India, but through authorized airports, or seaports check posts. It has decided to allow graded relaxation in travel and visa restrictions for more categories of foreigners who wish to visit India. The rule allows flights operated under Air Transport Bubble arrangements or under Vande Bharat Mission. The travelers will have to strictly follow the guidelines laid down by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The GoI has also decided to restore all existing visas except tourist visas, medical visas and electronic visas. The decision will allow foreign nationals to visit India for business, employment, conferences, studies, etc. Thus amid the current spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has relaxed the movement of international passengers to impart vibrancy to economic activities.
