Surat engages over 5,000 labourers in construction
Amidst the continuing lockdown in the country, Gujarat is showing the way to emerge out of the crisis. In Surat, over 5,000 construction workers have been provided work at construction sites after out of 200 submitted applications by realtors for permission to start work, 75 applications got approved by the district administration. According to the Gujarat chapter of real estate companies body CREDAI, “Construction work has been started only to provide employment to poor construction labourers.”
Further, timely completion of residential and commercial units will go a long way in instilling confidence among valued customers about realty sector. There are about 10,000 construction workers involved in realty sector in the city.
