PM Gati Shakti evaluates infrastructure projects worth Rs. 5 lakh crore in 18 months

Over the past 18 months, a whopping Rs. 5.14 trillion worth of projects have been assessed as part of the PM Gati Shakti program. This initiative was introduced in October 2021 with the goal of promoting comprehensive planning across various departments and ministries in India. By improving the efficiency of logistics and enhancing multi-modal connectivity, the project aims to bridge critical infrastructure gaps, enabling seamless movement of goods and people.

Sumita Dawra, the Special Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, revealed that approximately 76 key infrastructure projects were examined during this period. She also disclosed that under the PM Gati Shakti program, around 200 projects have been evaluated and authorized to date.
