Virtual roundtable on positive trends and opportunities in real estate

A virtual media roundtable was organised featuring expert discussions and presentations on current situation in Indian real estate sector amid the health crisis.

The second edition of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards(India) event is set to be organised in December and the winners will be announced through a virtual gala ceremony set to premiere on December 9 via AsiaPropertyAwards.com/tv-podcast and the official channels on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube. However, the programme will be aired and filmed according to prevailing Covid-19 restrictions, in compliance with local health protocols.

As a prelude to this event, a virtual media roundtable was organised featuring expert discussions and presentations on current situation in Indian real estate sector amid the health crisis. The media roundtable witnessed thought leaders and market commentators navigating the positive trends and opportunities in Indian property sector amid the pandemic.

During the discussions, Amit Khanna, managing director, Phoenix Advisers deliberated on the significance of the event in India despite the pandemic-induced situation. The roundtable also witnessed Paul Ashburn, ASPAC Leader for HLB Real Estate Group expressing his views. Madhav Raman, co-founder, Anagram Architects, spoke about the pandemic’s palpable influence on commercial and public facility design. He also put forward his views on standards in the retrofitting of buildings.

Ajai A. Kapoor, CEO of 360 Degrees – Real Estate Service, presented his analyses on online or digital technologies as the driver of property transactions during the pandemic. He said, “From a real estate perspective, India is still seen as a very stable market.” Other roundtable speakers put forward their views on the future of the Indian market in the current global health crisis.
