The new phase of Indian Real Estate Sector post COVID-19 pandemic

A webinar organised to discuss the importance of a digital strategy as a new normal to achieve sales for the ready-to-move-in residential segment witnessed the participation of the who’s who of the industry through video conferencing. The panel of the speakers included Vijay Sikerwar – Head of Sales & Marketing at Gurukrupa Group, Digital and Property technology expert Govind Rai of Insomniacs, and Housing Loan Expert Sudhish Pandey of Tranzent Consulting, apart from the channel partners of the organizer, the real estate developer Gurukrupa Group.

The webnier discussed on adapting technology as going digital is the new mantra, besides social distancing norms as mandated by the authorities, increased use of virtual technology to engage with customers/potential buyers which has emerged as the ‘new normal’ in current lockdown situation, sharing of information as well as interactions with the customer through online mode, evolution and innovations in CRM tools and property technology and personalisation and interactive elements in VR technology which will play a big role in engaging potential buyers.

The event highlighted that the channel partners need to embrace technology as a new normal and that they need to make more investments in property technology, besides making suitable skilled hiring. The occassion also brought to the light that to service the unique requirements of the potential buyers effectively property technology and CRM tools are important in the current circumstances. Consumer behavior and demand was another topic discussed in the webnier which concluded with the outcomes that demand for ready-to-move-in is already there, but it’s currently stalled due to the lockdown.

It further observed that under construction properties may see a hit as there may be delay in their delivery due to lockdown and that the customers having funds will prefer ready-to-move-in properties.
