Prime Minister Modi Launches Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana, Aims to Install Rooftop Solar on 1 crore houses

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the launch of the ambitious “Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana,” which aims to install rooftop solar panels on 1 crore households across the country. This announcement came immediately after the Prime Minister’s visit to Ayodhya on the auspicious occasion of the consecration of Suryawanshi Bhagwan Shri Ram.

During the meeting to launch the scheme, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the importance of harnessing solar power to reduce electricity bills and make households self-reliant in meeting their energy needs. He stressed that the power of the sun can be harnessed by every household with a roof, empowering them to generate their electricity and contribute to India’s energy self-sufficiency.

The scheme aims to provide electricity to low and middle-income households through solar rooftop installations, offering them the opportunity to generate additional income by supplying surplus electricity to the grid. Prime Minister Modi directed the initiation of a massive national campaign to encourage residential consumers to adopt rooftop solar technology on a large scale.

This initiative is not only expected to reduce the electricity bills of the poor and middle class but also contribute to India’s self-reliance in the field of energy. By leveraging solar power, the government aims to transform the energy landscape of the country, making it more sustainable and accessible to all.
