Atmanirbhar Bharat webinar with focus on promoting renewable energy in MSME sector organized in UAE

Indian people’s forum organized a webinar on Atmanirbhar Bharat- Opportunities in Solar & MSME in United Arab Emirates. Road Transport and Highways and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises minister Nitin Gadkari while participating in this webinar said Indian government is committed to promote renewable energy resources, especially in MSME sector.

He said that the country has tremendous potential for electricity generation and solar power rate is reasonable in India at Rs. 2.40 per unit while the commercial rate of power is Rs. 11 per unit. He added that the cheap power obtained from solar energy can be used for automobiles and various development works.

He said in the next five years the country will become a top automobile manufacturing hub in the world by creating big market for electric vehicles through ensuring the availability of solar energy.

He took the opportunity to invite the investors based abroad to invest in the country’s MSMEs sector. He expressed hope that it will provide opportunities to MSME sector and the country will become world’s largest manufacturing hub.

Currently the Indian renewable energy sector is the fourth most attractive renewable energy market across the world. If we talk about renewable power installed capacity India is at fourth position while in terms solar energy it’s at fifth position.
