Buoyed by high demand Coal India set to augument coal production capacity

The demand of coal is rapidly increasing and the Coal India has laid out plans to further augment the production of Coal.
In addition, to meet this target the government has allowed Commercial Auction of coal. Earlier as well the auction of coal mines was done. A total four rounds of auction was concluded in 2020 and total 292 coal mines were offered.
It is through Rolling auction coal mines have been auctioned. Even the government has introduced Single Window Clearance facility to expedite the operationalisation of the coal mines.
Further Coal India has identified fifteen projects with total 160 MTPA operated in Mine Developer cum Operator mode.
Coal India has also taken steps for the upgradation of mechanized coal transportation and loading system.
