After Chhattisgarh has been integrated, now the ONORC plan is operational in 35 States/UTs. These states cover almost 96.8% NFSA population which include over 77 Crore NFSA beneficiaries in India. These migrant beneficiaries will be benefitted by the subsidised foodgrains provided at any Fair Price Shop (FPS) across the country.

A technology driven distribution system ONORC is beneficial for the migratory population as it makes food security portable pan-India. Especially it’s very beneficial for such migratory population who frequently change their place of dwelling for temporary employments.
