Coal production went above 100 Million Ton first time in India
Ministry of Coal has announced the coal production from both captive/commercial mines has crossed 100 Million Ton for the first time.
Coal production from these coal blocks was highest ever around 5.09 Lakh Ton on March 2. The production has been on constant rise and it was already increased till February by 29.8% over the last financial year.
The coal ministry is looking forward to achieve more than 112 million ton production, an increase of about 31% over last year in 2022-23 from the captive/commercial coal blocks. It informed that two new coal mines are set to start production this month while four new coal mines have already started production this year.
