In order to develop and regulate financial products, services and financial institutions in International Financial Service Centres (IFSCs), International Financial Service Centres Authority (IFSCA) has been established in the country.
IFSCA has constituted an expert committee in its endeavour to develop a consistent regulator and a comprehensive framework encompassing global best practices. The Committee will have designated focus on ease of doing business. The Committee includes industry leaders from the entire Fund Management ecosystem. The committee shall recommend to IFSCA on long term vision towards operations of IFSCs and make recommendations for the structure of Investment Funds. It will also identify critical issues for development of the Investment Funds industry.
