HIL (India) Ltd, a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has achieved 65% growth in the first two-quarters of FY2020-20 as compared to the same period last financial year. It has registered significant growth due to the massive quantity of DDT and various other agrochemicals shipped to Iran, Latin Amerca, and South African countries in this period. D. Sadananda Gowda, the Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers lauded the efforts of the entire HIL (India) team and congratulated them for its impressive growth. Remarkably, the company has also achieved the highest sales and highest ever production in the first two quarters. The company has supplied its products to the locust control program run by the agriculture ministry as well as municipal corporations across India for the vector control programme.
