Kolkata gets one of Eastern India’s largest lube blending plants of Indian Oil Corporation

Indian Oil Corporation has established one of Eastern India’s largest lube blending plant in Kolkata port area with an investment of Rs 142 crore. The project sprawling over more than 13.5 acres, generated a total of 72000 man days, and it’s considered as a step towards making India self-reliant in its requirement of lubricants.
Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel, Dhamendra Pradhan, inaugurated this new plant which is considered as a step towards making India self- reliant in its lubricants requirement. Indian Oil Chirman Shrikant Madhav Vaidya said the plant is another stride towards energy secured Atmnirbhar Bharat.
With an annual 100,000 kilo litre throughput capacity Lube Blending Plant in Kolkata will produce ove 200 grades of world class Industrial oils, Automotive oils, Marine oils and Rail Roads oils, among others.
Pradhan said, it will cater to the growing demand for lubricants in the eastern part of the country, ensuring Servo grade of products in Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa encompassing entire North East.
