Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission of Niti Aayog has launched an innovative challenge for Indian tech entrepreneurs and startups. Christened as “Digital India Atma Nirbhar Bharat App” innovation challenge, it’s aimed at supporting and building a strong ecosystem for Indian Apps. The challenge shall run in two tracks: Promotion of Existing Apps, besides Development of New Apps and among these Promotion of Existing Apps challenge is aimed at identifying the best Indian App being used currently.
“Digital India Atma Nirbhar Bharat App” innovation challenge seeks to create an ecosystem for Indian startups and entrepreneurs and incentivise them to ideate, build, nurture and incubate tech solutions. The challenge is being launched in various categories including Social Networking, Office Productivity and Work from Home, Entertainment, E-Learning, Health & Wellness, News, Games, Business including Agritech and Fin-tech, among others. For the participants, the challenge is available on URL: innovate.mygov.in/app-challenge and the applicants can apply online till 18th July on: MyGov portal – www.mygov.in.
A specific Jury will evaluate the received entries and the shortlisted Apps shall be given awards and they will also be featured on Leader boards for information of citizens. Moreover, the Government will adopt suitable Apps among these and will further list them on Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
