The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has launched, “e-Sampada”, a new Web Portal and Mobile App, offering a single-window for allotment of government residential accommodations, besides office spaces for government organisations in forty-five office complexes across 28 cities.
The application offers over 1 lakh government accommodations, office spaces and 1176 holiday rooms and venues including 5, Ashoka Road for social functions, among others. It is through e-Sampada, the erstwhile websites: estates.gov.in, gpra.nic.in, eawas.nic.in, holidayhomes.nic.in and the Mobile Apps: m-Ashoka5 and m-Awas have been integrated into one.
It paves the way for integrating all the services on a single platform across the country to provide ‘One Nation, One System’ in line with the objectives of boosting transparency and accountability. The initiative is aimed at ensuring ease of living for the citizens. Ministry of State (I/C) for Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep S Puri launched the mobile app and website in the presence of MoHUA Secretary Durga Shanker Mishra and other senior officials.
Speaking on a virtual platform, Puri said, “It’s a step towards promotion of e-governance and various Estate Services like retention, allotment, regularisation and no dues certificate, etc. E-Sampada will promote ease of living for the officers and departments of Government of India as all the services can be availed online together with live tracking of applications.”
The portal offers various online facilities like lodging complaints and submitting documents in addition to the online facility to users across the country to appear for virtual hearing. While it will reduce administrative cost, it will also save time and resources. It will also create service level benchmarks.
E-Sampada will benefit by offering 1,09,474 government residential accommodation across 40 locations, office space allotment in 45 office complexes across 28 locations apart from the booking of Vigyan Bhawan, 1,176 Holiday Home Suits/Rooms across 62 locations, among others.
Developed by NIC, the new Mobile App will be available for iOS as well as Android platforms and the address of Web Portal is — www.esampada.mohua.gov.in.
