Network Planning Group recommends four mega infra projects for implementation

The Network Planning Group (NPG) in its 41st session held in New Delhi, evaluated and recommended three projects comprising the creation of multi-modal logistics park facilities, intermodal infrastructure and terminal infrastructure related to railways and roadways.

The meeting witnessed participation of the senior officials deliberating on new rail connectivity projects between Barejadi Nandej to Sanand and a 4 Lane Accessed Controlled Greenfield Highway, connecting  Mancherial to Vijawada.

The NPGA recommended these projects to meet the requirements of last mile connectivity. It was also aimed at achieving the right multimodal logistics share comprising the creation of multi-modal logistics park facilities, intermodal infrastructure, and other terminal infrastructure related to railways and roadways.

The proposed alignment Barbil-Barsuan-Nayagarh Railway line will cover a distance of 181 kms and it will have 15 new stations.It will connect major rail networks such as Tata, Dhamra and Bokaro, besides the Vishakapatnam and Paradip ports.
