Karnataka receives major boost with several developmental projects launched by PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated a series of developmental projects in Karnataka. He laid foundation stone of a National Highway development project and inaugurated Left Bank Canal – Extension Renovation and Modernisation Project.

Speaking in a ceremony organised to mark the occasion, Modi said the heritage of the great king Maharaja Venkatappa Nayak his idea of swaraj and good governance has been noted all over the country and that w all take pride in this heritage.

He added that all these projects will provide immense benefits to the people of the region. Reminding that the coming 25 years are ‘Amrit Kaal’ for the country the prime minister highlighted the priorities of the present government. He said the emphasis of his government is  on development and good governance. He noted that Yadgir has vaccinated 100 percent of children and the number of malnourished children has also gone down significantly at this district. All villages here are connected through roads. Modi also talked about the unprecedented focus of the double engine government on micro-irrigation and ‘per drop more crop’.

He highlighted that the farmers in the state has been given Rs 6,000 under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and in this Rs 4000 is added by the Karnataka Government which depicts the double benefits for the farmers.

The PM lauded the efforts of the local farmers for their contribution of making the region a pulse bowl which has helped the country in reducing the dependence on import.
