NHPC registers highest ever 12% jump in Standalone Net Profit

India’s premier hydropower company NHPC Limited (erstwhile National Hydroelectric Power Corporation) has registered 12% jump in its half yearly standalone profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 2483 crore. While its PAT for the corresponding previous half year was Rs 2217 crore.

The share of NHPC in the consolidated PAT for the current half year is Rs 2575 crore that’s 15% higher than the consolidated PAT for the corresponding previous half year or Rs 2243 crore.

It registered the highest ever generation for the current quarter and half year at 10138 million units and 18303 million units respectively. At the same time the overall Plant Availability Factor of the power stations of the company during the quarter and half year ended on September 30 is also highest ever at 99.87% and 99.23% respectively on standalone basis.

The total installed capacity of NHPC is 7071 MW of renewable power (including solar and wind) through its 24 power stations comprising 1520 MW through subsidiary.
