PM launches projects worth Rs 8000 crore in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone of Rs 8000 crore worth projects in Tharad in Banaskantha in Gujarat. He mentioned that these projects will help in irrigation facilities to more than six districts of Gujarat including Patan, Mehsana and Banaskatha.

The PM also unveiled several projects including Sujlam Suflam Canal strengthening work, apart from ift irrigation scheme for 11 villages of Santalpur Taluka and Modhera-Moti Dau pipeline extention to Mukteshwar Dam-Karmavat Lake among others.

PM underlined that micro irrigation and drip irrigationn techniques have led Banaskantha to worldwide recognition.

The PM noted the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has turned out to be of great benefit to the farmers. The occasion also witnessed the presence of Bharatsinh Dhabi and Dineshbhai Anavaidya, Ministers in Gujarat Government, Prabhatbhai Patel, Jitubhai Chaudhary, Rushikesh Patel, Gajendrasinh Parmar and Kiritsinh Vaghela.
