PM Modi launches more than Rs 13000 crore worth Varanasi’s Development Projects

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth more than Rs 13,000 crore in Varanasi today. The projects span crucial sectors such as road, rail, aviation, tourism, education, health, drinking water, urban development, and sanitation.

PM Modi inaugurated the Banas Kashi Sankul milk processing unit in UPSIDA Agro Park Karkhiyaon and handed out employment letters and GI-authorized user certificates. He also inaugurated the LPG Bottling Plant by HPCL, various infrastructure work at UPSIDA Agro Park, and a silk fabric printing common facility.

Additionally, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple road projects and urban development, tourism, and spiritual tourism projects in Varanasi. He also laid the foundation stone for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and a new Medical College and National Centre of Ageing at BHU.

PM Modi praised the transformation of Banaras over the past ten years, emphasizing the importance of projects like Banas Kashi Sankul, which is expected to significantly boost the income of over 3 lakh farmers. He reiterated the government’s commitment to making India self-reliant and highlighted various initiatives aimed at empowering farmers and small industries.

The Prime Minister’s visit to Varanasi marks a significant step towards the city’s comprehensive development and economic growth, with a focus on empowering local communities and industries.
