SVAMITVA to provide ownership rights to rural households through property cards

Emerging as a powerful tool to provide record of rights to rural households across the country, the Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) yojana launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to bring in historical changes across the villages of the country.
Under this scheme, property cards will be issued to the village household owners which will help reduce property disputes as well as make them eligible for availing bank loans on their properties. While getting the property rights would provide relief to the villagers, the property card issued on their properties will help them use their property as a financial asset, avail loans, and various financial benefits.
