CAPF and NSG campuses to have Solar Energy panels
In order to harness the solar energy potential on rooftops, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and National Security Guard (NSG) campuses rooftops are being fitted with solar energy panels. For this, an MoU has been signed between Union Minister of Home Affairs (MAHA) and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
Rakesh Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary, MHA and Suman Sharma, MD, SECI signed the MoU. Speaking on the occasion Suman Sharma said that SECI looks forward to expand rooftop solar sector to the country’s remotest corners.
A PSU under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), the SECI is engaged in renewable energy resources promotion and development.
