Yuva Tourism clubs to promote rich heritage of the country

As  part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, the Ministry of Tourism has initiated to establish ‘YUVA Tourism Clubs’. The members of these clubs would get acquainted with the rich diversity of the country. The aim of this initiative is to make India the favoured tourist destination that will have a positive impact on the country’s economy.

A ‘Handbook for Schools for conduct of Tourism Clubs’ has been shared by the ministry of tourism and the hanbook reiterates the operational strategies and specific guidelines along with suggestions for various activities, however, sample of activities are suggestive. The teachers as well as the schools are encouraged to integrate allied activities like online or e-tourism, excursion, pen pals under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) in paired state/UT  with exposure to rich heritage of India.

At the same time, these YUVA Tourism Clubs would enable the learners to appreciate the travel and tourism importance along with igniting the passion for tourism in learners and propagate responsible practices concerning tourism and improve their physical and mental health through sports tourism. These clubs will also encourage the learners to become skilled professionals in tourism and hospitality sector.
