Ministry of New and Renewable Energy signs MoU with Indian Renewable Energy Development agency

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) with key targets for 2020-21. The MoU was signed by Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and MD, IREDA, and Indu Shekhar Chaturvedi, Secretary, MNRE amid the presence of the officials from IREDA and MNRE. Along with various performance related parameters like operating profit, percentage of average net worth, overdue loan, loan disbursement, the government has already set a revenue target of Rs 2406 crore under an โ€˜excellentโ€™ rating.

As far as funding from IREDA is concerned, it has financed over 2700 renewable energy projects in the country with cumulative loan disbursements of Rs 57000 crore, supporting the, 17,259 MW green power capacity edition in the country.
