Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas, an occasion to recognise the contribution of India Diaspora worldwide
Indian diaspora worldwide has been called upon by Union Minister Piyush Goyal to contribute to the creation of New India. While addressing the Indians in New Jersey in the US, the commerce and industry, consumer affairs and food and public distribution minister Goyal said they need to create an India destined to become a Vishwaguru.
Appreciating the Indians residing in USA for their contribution, he said it’s a matter of great pride that Indians are leading large corporations across the globe. “It’s due to their achievements, the country is respected all across the globe,” he said, adding that Indians residing in USA have well-maintained the tradition of India.
Goyal equally appreciated the celebration of Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) with the Indians living in New Jersey. He said, it is through their work, Indian diaspora has demonstrated tremendous capacity across various industries including hospitality, healthcare, technology as well as management.
He further stated that both India and US are vibrant democracies having strong linkages and geopolitical ties. At the same time, he highlighted India as the land of opportunity due to its large consumption demand.
