Record collection of Rs 1,49,507 crore GST revenue keeps the economic momentum up

The government has registered a 15% Y-O-Y increase in the collection of GST Revenue amounting to Rs 1,49,507 crore in December 2022. Β It’s tenth month in a row that more than Rs 1.4 lakh crore GST revenue have been gathered.

 

In the month of December the CGST is Rs 26,711 crore while the SGST is Rs 33,357 crore and the IGST is Rs 78,434 crore which includes Rs 40,263 crore that has been collected on the import of goods. This month the Cess is Rs 11,005 crore including Rs 850 crore collected on the import of goods.

The total revenue collection of Centre and the States after regular settlements is Rs 63,380 crore for CGST and Rs 64,451 crore for the SGST in the month of December 2022. The revenue for the month of December 2022 is 15% higher than the GST revenue in the same month last year. During the month, the revenue collected from import of goods was 8% higher while the revenue from domestic transaction was also 18% higher than the revenue collected last year in the same month.
